Alexandria Wilson, is the founder of Lilith’s Daughters Altar, the Adorner of Dreams at The Lyric and a recipient of Art to Live. Alex has a unique story of embarking on a creative and artistic journey to save her life. During the pandemic, her world shifted and her decision to live a more meaningful life took full effect. Making art was not just a hobby but a therapy for her, as she was getting sober. It was a means for purpose and creation, but equally a pathway for her to help others.
Alexandria’s business is more than just creating pieces of magic to adorn people with. It is about foraging, traveling, and collecting special items from loved ones. Lilith’s Daughters Altar (LDA) is now beyond just products and art. It is a movement in action. It is a community project that hosts artist workshops and encourages people to tap into their inner child and curate magic in everyday scenarios, even forming a collaboration for markets.

“My business name is Lilith’s Daughters Altar. The name is my pride and joy. Originally, this business was me and my half-sister Elijah. She has since opened her own business, Little Wicked Book Box. The story of our sisterhood is long and haunted as many family stories are. And we are tangled together by the beauty, pain, and lust it is to be a woman,” says Alexandria.
LDA is a recipient of Art to Live a grant for individual artists living in Fort Collins, CO, whose artistic and creative opportunities were negatively impacted by Covid-19. The grant is for $3,000 and is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Alexandria will feature her work beside other artists as a fulfillment of their public work on May First Friday at The Lyric but also host her first sold-out Fairy Tea Party event on the same weekend.
The Fairy Tea party is sold out with a waitlist for the next event building. It is strictly from the dreams of Alexandria and a one-of-a-kind experience Open buffet Includes Tea from Happy Lucky’s Teahouse, Finger Sandwiches, Tea cakes and Hor D’Ouvers, Crafts for the Fae by Wild Roots Studio, Teacup Planter Decorating Station, with Monica from Plantiness, Tea Leaf Readings by Luminous Evolutions, Photo Booth, and this is for adults and all ages.

Alexandria says the origin story is based on the idea of Lilith, Adam’s first wife, a religious controversy. Lilith was cast away from the Garden of Eden after exploring the sides of human hood that can be dark and frightening. A new and more dominant woman was given to Adam, Eve. Forever after, Lilith was portrayed as jealous and wanting in biblical texts. Other texts show her as taking back her power, living in an abundance of femininity and independence.
“We at LDA love to show the other side of adornments, one not as dainty and quiet, a bit louder and full of life. Giving gratitude to each object for helping us create something special spiritual and altar accessories, Knick knacks filled with love and energy,” says Alexandria.

LDA sources materials reworking old pieces and parts blooming into them new life and accept donations of old relics from community members, and people all over the world.
With the Grant, Alexandria paid some debts bought needed tools to progress as an artist, and planned the sold out event, A Fairy Tea party. She explains the event as, “Tapping into your inner child for an all-immersive fairy garden experience. Using all sensory forms of play and creation to experience a fairy world for all ages.”
LDA can be bought inside The Lyric, Bloom Floral Boutique, and Mystique Lingerie, in Fort Collins. Fallen Desires Tattoos and Oddities in Loveland.
